Relish the sights and flavours of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur on this wonderful journey into the cultural and gastronomic heart of India. Few countries offer as much diversity in food as India and you will have the opportunity to learn about spices and Indian cookery tips in various places, participate in live cooking demonstrations, culminating in a fantastic chance to buy your own ingredients in a local market, cook them under the supervision of a local expert and enjoy the fruits of your labour with a local family.

Day 1 Delhi
Arrival at New Delhi International Airport
Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, you will be met by a representative and transferred to The Pllazio Hotel or Hilton Garden Inn, Gurgaon.

Gurgaon is part of the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi. It is within commuting distance of Delhi via the expressway and Delhi Metro and just 10 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. Enjoy shopping at the malls on M.G. Road, plenty of choices for dining out and entertainment at the unique Kingdom of Dreams.
Dinner and overnight at The Pllazio Hotel or Hilton Garden Inn, Gurgaon.
Day 2 Delhi
Proceed for Delhi sightseeing. Today you will drive to Old Delhi and visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, the bustling markets in Chandni Chowk and drive past the Red Fort. Take a Rickshaw ride. Visit Gandhi Smriti museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, Humayun's tomb and India Gate. In the evening, interact with the chef at your hotel and learn about Indian food and the art of preparing Indian delicacies.

Day 3 Delhi - Agra - Bharatpur
(2 hours train and 1.5 hours drive)
Early in the morning (5am) transfer to Delhi railway station to board the Shatabdi Express to Agra. You will be met at the railway station in Agra. Visit the majestic Taj Mahal and Red Fort. Visit to an Indian home for a cookery lesson and Lunch. Then drive to the historic city of Bharatpur, once known as the 'impregnable city' and now the gateway to Keoladeo National Park, an outstanding bird sanctuary and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in at the Laxmi Vilas Palace (Heritage Hotel). Or the adjacent sister property, Laxmi Niwas Palace (completed in 2008, built in the same style as the much older Laxmi Vilas Palace).
Dinner and overnight at the Laxmi Vilas Palace or Laxmi Niwas Palace.
Day 4 Bharatpur
Visit Keoladeo National Park. Bharatpur is famous as one of Asia's finest birding areas, with over 350 resident and migrant species. A rickshaw puller will take you inside the park and a naturalist will be there to share his knowledge of bird species. The rest of the day is free for independent activities such as a visit to the Deeg Palace complex (35 km) or the abandoned Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri (25 km) or Laxman Mandir, a prominent temple in the heart of Bharatpur city. Or simply relax in the hotel grounds. In the evening, participate in a live cooking demo at the hotel.

Day 5 Bharatpur - Jaipur

En route to Jaipur, visit Umaid lake palace, a quaint place in rural Rajasthan at Kalakho. Participate in the cooking demonstration at Umaid lake palace and enjoy the lunch you helped to cook. Afterwards, continue your drive to Jaipur.
Dinner and overnight at Ikaki Niwas, one of the most adorable homestays in Rajasthan.
Day 6 Jaipur
Visit Amer, ancient capital of Amber to explore the fabulous Amber Fort. Also visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory and have a photo stop outside Hawa Mahal, the 'Palace of Winds'. Later, accompanied by your host, visit the local vegetable market and hone your haggling skills as you buy local produce. Along with your host, you will cook the produce you bought under expert supervision. Then enjoy your home-cooked meal with your hosts.
Overnight at Ikaki Niwas.
Day 7 Jaipur - Delhi - Departure
(250 km / 6 hours)
Drive back to Delhi. Transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
